Their high quality knitwear became a favourite with professional golfers and soon every sportsman was trying to get hold the iconic golden eagle clothing. In fact so timeless is their brand that they still use an archive that was drawn up with top designers of the time, including Christian Dior, over 125 years ago!

The brand has experienced an upsurge in interest since a successful campaign in 2003 to rejuvenate the golden eagle with the launch of the Vintage collection. Various celebrities and pop stars have been snapped in Lyle and Scottjumpers which have helped to make the menswear label a popular and sought after one.

Lyle and Scott have now sidestepped into other areas of fashion, producing jackets and t-shirts as well as the classic jumper that epitomises their look.
