Armani

Armani

The company Armani was founded in 1975 by Giorgio Armani in Italy after Armani was encouraged to open his own design office by Sergio Galeotti. At its core was a desire to deconstruct the fashion industry and do without unnecessary decoration to create smooth, sleek lines and uncomplicated designs.

Armani’s range of men’s suits proved to be a sensation in the late 1970s as he effectively threw the rule book out of the window and created suits without linings or structure to achieve a more casual, relaxed look. Women also benefitted from the Armani touch with power dressing replacing the softer, feminine side and giving women more choice with sharp edged suits of the like that the boys would normally wear. As women were demanding more share of city jobs, his designs proved to be extremely popular and help catapult him to the top of the fashion industry.

Armani Jeans

Armani was always known for using high quality and expensive materials for everyday wear and this is no more evident than in the Armani jeans collection. He launched his jeans in 1981 and designed them to be loose around the thighs for a greater movement and fluidity in the cut of the jeans. Today Armani jeans come in many styles and the different cuts that are so popular but his penchant for using only the best still applies, which is why Armani jeans are one of the most sought after items of clothing for both men and women.

Armani Jumpers

Armani jumpers were made famous by TV programmes such as Miami Vice and they came to symbolise the casual sporting type. Today every trendy connoisseur  seeks out that exclusive Armani jumper with its distinctive eagle logo that marks them out from copies and they are extremely well made and sought after. No longer the reserve of the casual sportsman, Armani jumpers are smart and timelessly classic.

Armani T-shirts

Today is the age of the t-shirt, that innocuous piece of clothing that has become a staple of everyone’s wardrobe. Armani t shirts are not to be covered under shirts or jumpers but to be seen and the bigger the logo, the better it seems! Armani t-shirts can either be big and bold or subtle and plain, but no matter which you prefer they are always tasteful and stylish.

Armani Trainers

Giorgio Armani himself is a keen follower of sport and has designed kits for the England football team, so the move to design Armani trainers was a natural one. His line of trainers manages to be smart and elegant, resembling a good pair of shoes more than trainers. His style is quite vintage and classic and worn by professional sportsmen and women around the globe.

Armani Polo Shirts

Again Giorgio Armani takes a classic item of casual wear and gives it a chic makeover. The Armani polo shirts are now the ultimate choice of summer wear for men, combining sophistication with laid back cool.

Armani Jackets

As Armani deconstructed the suit so he has successfully deconstructed the jacket. Armani jackets vary enormously in style, from the lightweight sports jacket to the heavy, knitted jackets. He has relied heavily upon urban imagery for his latest collection which is a far cry from the smartly suited male models of the 1970s!

Armani Shirts

Armani shirts range from the classic stylish look of the well heeled man to the playful funky style of the younger boy. These shirts are durable and perfect down to the finest of details, as you would expect from any Armani menswear and they show off Giorgio’s eye for current trends and style.

Armani Sale

Armani menswear doesn’t come cheap because of Giorgio’s insistence on using only the finest quality. However because there are so many outlet suppliers of Armani, you can pick up some incredible bargains in the Styles UK Armani sale section.
